Chester A. LaRue
Operations OfficerOperations 212-255.6012 ext. 300 Chester joined IN THE LIFE in August 2006. He is a retired priest of the Episcopal Church having served for 40 years as a parish priest and diocesan administrator in California, Illinois and New York, which included work in personnel, program, budget and finance, and archival management. He has taught on the secondary and collegiate levels. He holds a Bachelor and Master of Arts in History and English, and a Masters in Sacred Theology, having studied at Duke University, Whittier College, and the University of Illinois-Chicago.
As Operations Officer, he is responsible for office management, the coordination of vendors, accounts receivable/payable, employee benefits, and general personnel matters. He also serves as proof-reader and copy editor, whose zeal for assaulting split-infinitives, dangling participles, and misplaced modifiers is near legendary. When not otherwise engaged, he serves as domestic chaplain to IN THE LIFE. |
